When I first started development on Spectrum Girls for Rainbow Jam '17, I was really determined to make it in Twine. I thought the visual, textual, and experimental elements of the vision I had for this game would click well with a platform like Twine. After various compatibility struggles, learning curves, and reaching points of limitation in the program, I had the realization that there was a conflict between Twine as the 'engine' and my goals for overall development.

I experimented in various software that I thought could fit the bill, and I've finally settled on TyranoBuilder. It's interface makes the 'visual novel' aspect of creation beyond simple and FAST (whereas in Twine, development was too slow for me to keep any momentum), but has enough flexibility for me to try all the things I want to try.

So, Spectrum Girls is back on track for development in slightly different... skin...? So to speak. 😅The internals, the game itself, is essentially the same.

The new Prologue is now what I consider the official demo! 🎉

The old Twine demo will remain available for posterity and for a peak into the development process.

If you would like semi-regular updates on development, I encourage you to follow me on twitter.

The next release of any playable Spectrum Girls content will be the FINAL RELEASE. So I hope y'all don't mind hanging in there, I'll do my best to make it worth the wait. ❤️

Thank you all for your support, interest, and patience.
